Raj remains well entrenched in our favorite 5 restaurants in Cape Town, out of some 50 plus we have tried. Service is always excellent, with the chef not hesitating to come out to reveal some of his secrets. He pointed us to some unusual masalas which we sourced locally, brought back home with us, and are currently thoroughly enjoying.
The Springbock and ostrich tandoori were both expertly cooked and not at all dry as Tandoori meat so often can be.
The Springbok and the Ostrich curry were both masterfully spiced, the distinctive flavor of the meat retained and delightful layers of aromas permeating the dishes.
The Lindt Eruption was our guilty pleasure.
And to crown it all, we regard the Raj sushi to be the best anywhere in Cape Town !
