We see the negative comments about service from other reviewers but on each of our three visits we experienced fast, courteous, accurate service.
The 600g T-bone steak and the chateaubriand were both prepared and presented to Cattle Baron standards, well aged cuts cooked exactly medium rare as ordered.
Snail and fried camembert starters and burgers were delicious as always in this favorite franchise.
The creamed spinach and marrow sides were also up to standard and served in abundance and warm.
The buffet on the weekend was plentiful and well prepared. We were not rushed through the meal, and went back several times for more.
We did enjoy a braai (we brought our own meat and did not buy in the camp) but could easily have had every meal at Cattle Baron without loss of enjoyment or variety.
