One of our obligatory stops when visiting Cape Town... we have been there at least 10 times, Strandloper delivers consistently every time. The excellent braai, the friendly staff, the fun music from Donny, the sea and birds... all make for a unique experience and very special memories.
Bring plenty to drink and preferably a cooler box with ice. If you cannot access a cooler box, then ask at the bar and they will provide a bag of ice and some newspaper which works well for a couple hours.
Do not go barefoot... the sand gets quite hot for tender tourist feet.... and don't forget your hats and sunscreen.
