Super fresh fish on display for you to pick and choose whatever grabs your fancy, and in the quantity you desire. Cooked extremely well. Knowledgable staff on hand to advise on the ones you are not familiar with.
Service is surprisingly good given the fact that the place is wall to wall packed out with customers tucking in. Booking is absolutely essential, especially if you want to secure a quieter table by the windows for which several days in advance is advisable.
We visited twice and enjoyed a giant sized crayfish, succulent king prawns, very tasty sole, calamari cooked in several ways, and exquisite blue nosed bream.
Not cheap, but the quality and satisfaction are well worth it. The wine list will satisfy the most discerning .
We have lived in Cape Town for 30 years and this is the best fish restaurant in the city ever...which is quite an accolade !
